Katie found some time in Urumqi to put together a video of one of our hardest days in the first few weeks in China. This area is now a distant memory of how hard, but beautiful China can be.

The first 6 weeks of our trip have been spent high up in the mountains. The cold is one thing, but there were a lot of times where the wind has gotten out of control. (and cold)
We have finished our ride but our friends are only just beginning. The first ore bike trip lesson has been to teach Stephen Sessions to brew Turkish Coffee.
We got through three weeks of little to no rain only to have the elements remind us who is the boss on our last full days cycling. Note how tired Katie was as she could only repeat what I would say
We reached 2000k’s just as we were entering Nevsehir.
Things get interesting when it rains. And yes, I am shoving my face full of jellies.
Got up early this morning just for this
Earlier Jared posted a video called “life in a tent” Here is my version of it.
Way back at the start of our trip in Bergama I surprised Katie with a question……
This is our lunch spot right now.
Just another beautiful place to wild camp but we are starting to smell after not washing for a few days
Traffic, Dogs, and broken spokes are all part of our daily routine. But this little scare was not.
Changing things up at dinner
This is our routine every night we camp. We have pretty much perfected it
At the end of a long day with strong head winds cycling upside down is very difficult, or should I make sure I hold the camera the right way round. Too tired to think about things like that.
We have been going into tiny little towns in search of the best kebab for lunch. On one little town we arrived right at the end of school and spent the next hour or so surrounded by children.
Jared found one broken spoke and two loose ones on his back tire. He is now attempting to fix them.
